TriMet’s nondiscrimination policy statements
Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 states:
“No person in the United States shall, on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.
Oregon Revised Statute 659A.403 states:
“All persons within the jurisdiction of this state are entitled to the full and equal accommodations, advantages, facilities and privileges of any place of public accommodation, without any distinction, discrimination or restriction on account of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, marital status or age.

Making a civil rights complaint
Any person who believes he or she has been aggrieved by an unlawful discriminatory practice under federal or state civil rights law may file a complaint with TriMet. Any such complaint must be in writing and filed with TriMet within 180 days following the date of the alleged discriminatory occurrence.
